Winnie Ille Pu

June 15, 2007

I was going through a box of memorabilia from high school earlier this week and came across a book I’d completely forgotten about: Winnie Ille Pu.

I – Quo in capite nobis ostentantur Winnie ille Pu atque apes nonnullae et incipiunt fabulae

Ecce eduardus ursus scalis nunc tump-tump-tump occipite gradus pulsante post Christophorum Robinum descendens. Willie ille Pu.

Yes, that is dear old Winnie, translated into Latin. No, I can’t read it (anymore). I’m sure at some point around my senior year I could have made a go at this, but that was years ago.

I couldn’t translate it exactly anymore, but it’s something along the lines of “there once was a bear of very little brain by the name of Winnie the Pooh. He bumps down the stairs after Christopher Robin, who is holding him by his ear…”
